"As Seen On TV" Task One Gets Real...

Task One has gone above and beyond with his new show that opens at Plastic Chapel, Saturday, June 9th. "As Seen On TV" will feature 8 Munny versions of characters from what he considers to be some of the best shows on TV recent and past. Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Wire, Breaking Bad and more are all represented in this awesome showcase of TV human expression and all put down on the Munny platform. These TV Characters look so realistic to me and look absolutely perfect in every way. I wish I could purchase them all. (Especially Larry David.) Cheddar, Day Ahead: TaskOne's custom for Playsam 500 show at Super7

 TaskOne shares with us his entry into the Playsam 500- Cheddar, Days Ahead is a custom based on the Playsam Streamliner wooden toy. TaskOne always kills it. 

This show at Super7's San Francisco shop looks amazing- I've seen a ton of sweet customs in this show, like this one and this one.

Task and I are talking about doing a Tenacious exclusive release later this year. Any suggestions?

Damaged Goods custom TYO Truck by TaskOne

 This is a TYO Truck (TYO stands for "tag your own") customized by legendary artist TaskOne. 

This, for me, is like the ultimate collectible: my collecting started young, probably at age 2 or 3, with Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars. I had a huge collection. Eventually I moved on to 1:24 and 1:18 scale cars by Maisto, Burago, etc, and then onto building my own models cars and, when I was a teenager, building and racing R/C cars. Now that I'm into designer toys and artwork, it seems that my collecting has gone in a different direction than when I was little... until now. 

TYO Toys brings everything full circle for me- I can collect my little vehicles AND original art by the artists I love, at the same time!

This piece is nuts: Task ripped the thing open, jammed his 3D tag in there, painted and weathered the body of the truck... just really sick work. To follow TaskOne, check the following links:
