Scott Kinnebrew's Little Copper Bots Are Here To Serve You...

Scott Kinnebrew aka Forces of Dorkness had 2 spare Dunny's laying around and decided to make these very cute Copper Bots! Using sculpey and some metallic paint he made these 3" Dunny's into the ultimate little robots. I love the bright colorful eyes and the use of oxidation for detailing! The ears distract a little bit but the twisted metal looks pretty cool. I am not sure if these designs are spoken for but if you are interested definitely send a message to Scott HERE at his website. If you are interested in seeing other customs that are available (like my personal fav Buddha Fett) then please click HERE

SNEAK PEEK: The Candy Coated Custom Show teasers

We have all been seeing sneaks and WIP shots from the artists in The Candy Coated Custom Show, so I thought I'd put all the ones I have into a blog post for you! There will be an online preview sale before the show opens; information about that will be emailed to our email list subscribers early next week, so click though and make sure you're signed up. (When you sign up, you will receive a coupon code good for 10% off in-stock production toys, but that code is not valid for custom toys.)

Basset D Kay, an original sculpt by Rich Page of Ume Toys

A Candy Shop piece by Ian Ziobrowski in the same vein as his Nuggy Growstation (WIP)

Vyvyan from the Young Ones TV show, a Munny custom by Scott Kinnebrew

Rsin's custom Munny, which I believe he named Blaaaaaaah!

Evilos' Union Jack Vinylmation, which I think is the only Vinylmation in this show. Represent!

Sweet Teuth original resin sculpt by Brian Ahlbeck. The first of 5 in a series. Real candy inside!

The London Swag Demon custom Munny by Nasty Neil of Wasted Talent
Jon Malmstedt of Rampage toys sent these 3 pieces from Japan, which will be sold separately.
JonPaul Kaiser was a saint and whipped up this 4" Munny after I inadvertently left him off my email list when I sent all the vital info to the artists. I will always admit when I do something stupid; such was the case here. Thanks JPK!

southerndrawl's Iron Fox piece

JC Rivera's Oh So Sweet Munny custom. 2 pieces, sold as a set.

Thomas the Rage Engine by Adam Pratt
Sucklord sent us these wired up resin chocolates titled Robot Candy. 2 pieces; sold separately.

Teru Fujita's Bentie the Bentley 7" Munny custom. Wired up with retractable hood ornament and working headlights.

Shawn Wigs' Yoshi custom set; this includes 2 Dunnys and accessories. Full reveal in our online preview.
Much, MUCH more to come! Stay tuned! The Candy Coated Custom Show will take place at The London Candy Company on April 21, from 7 to 9 pm. The address is as follows:

The London Candy Company
1442 Lexington Ave
New York, NY 10128

Afterparty down the street at ABV (97th & Lex). The London Candy Company serves coffee, tea and hot chocolate at their bar, in addition to selling a giant selection of British candies. ABV serves beer, wine and food, but try not to sit next to Eric of Argonaut Resins as he will probably steal your appetizers.

Scott Kinnebrew Wario custom Bic Buddy for Vinyl Thoughts

Scott Kinnebrew shares with us a sweet custom which is a fun departure from the type of whimsical custom we're used to him doing. This is a custom Bic Buddy, quite possibly the best/most accurate use of theBic Buddy shape I've ever seen: Wario! Perfect! Scott killed it with this one.

You can follow Scott here. Find out more about the Vinyl Thoughts show here (this is the second Vinyl Thoughts show), and follow them on Facebook. And you can buy more Scott Kinnebrew custom toys and resin figures in our shop here.

Scott Kinnebrew Fang custom Qee for So So Happy show

Scott Kinnebrew sends us his submission to the So So Happy custom show, which involves custom Qees from over 30 artists. I must admit that despite keeping tabs on almost everything that Toy2R does, I had no idea who or what So So Happy was. So I went to their website... and I still have no idea. Apparently they are a California studio that makes stuff and donates to charity. They seems to have many characters that they license out. I DID manage to figure out that Scott's Fang custom is based on one of their characters, which is available as a plush here. Of course, Scott stuck Fang in a Stormtrooper suit! Cool custom. Here's more pics of Scott's custom Fang:

Scott writes:
Here's the Qee I'm dropping on the Toy2R / So So Happy show.  He started out as a Pig, but got a few mods and some homemade armor to wrap up the look.

I picked "Fang" after I read all the different bios because he looks like a devil, he's into custom toys, loves Mongolian BBQ, and he dresses like a Stormtrooper at Renaissance Fairs...seemed like my kind of dude.  I haven't done a Qee in a while, and it reminded me of how much I like the platform.
