Talk About That Was Fast With Jeff Lamm...

Talk about FAST. Although this print titled "London Face Punch" by Jeff Lamm is already sold out, it still deserved it's own post! One cool thing about this print is that it features 3 of Jeff Lamm's produced figures as the monsters attacking the city. (Greasebat on the left, M5 Bravo hugging the tower and Stee-Gar on all fours.) To see this print and what Jeff Lamm had to say about it please click HERE. To find out more about 1xRUN that produced this print and many others please click HERE

(Benny's edit: I missed this one and I'm a bit pissed off about that...)

JC Rivera Most Wanted Madness 1:AM Gallery...

JC Rivera is a custom making madness machine. As you can see from the photo above he used multiple different bases to create these eerie and haunting customs. The skulls, the use of the color red and horns has these customs heading towards a western theme for me. Reminds me of the dead half eaten cow skulls that cowboys would find when out riding a trail. I really love the theme of these customs and how cohesive each piece is with the other. If you are interested in purchasing one of these creations please check out the 1:AM Gallery website HERE. To see what other customs are also available from Tenacious Toys by JC Rivera like the one below please click HERE.

SOLD OUT Tony Gil Free Runner Diamond Kid Mascot...

Tony Gil has just finished his first custom 8" Mascot and it is already sold out! Titled "Free Runner Diamond Kid" this custom was made by chopping apart the mascot build and then putting it back together in the design he wanted. This design is really clever on a Mascot and definitely has a Paw like inspired feel to it. Tony Gil also made a time lapse process video showing how he came up with the concept for this figure and it is definitely worth a watch HERE. Although he is currently sold out if you go HERE, you can check out what other amazing customs are available or just send him an email asking if he might make you a similar themed one.

DAVEMARKART And His Incredible Monster Madness...

Although this lizard zombie "Mouth's To Feed" is already sold, I just had to write a post showcasing the amazing talent DAVEMARKART has. I absolutely love this Lizard/Snake or whatever reptile that this might be representing! All those evil hand sculpted teeth along with the headed arms makes this an amazingly sculpted custom that I cannot stop staring at. One thing that never disappoints is DAVEMARKART's color usage. All of his customs seem to have the right combination of bright splashy colors along with some more muted tones and it always just works. If you would like to check out what other customs that are available from DAVEMARKART please check out his store HERE. Tenacious Toys also has a few cool ones like the Hive shown below and can be purchased HERE.

Scott Kinnebrew's Little Copper Bots Are Here To Serve You...

Scott Kinnebrew aka Forces of Dorkness had 2 spare Dunny's laying around and decided to make these very cute Copper Bots! Using sculpey and some metallic paint he made these 3" Dunny's into the ultimate little robots. I love the bright colorful eyes and the use of oxidation for detailing! The ears distract a little bit but the twisted metal looks pretty cool. I am not sure if these designs are spoken for but if you are interested definitely send a message to Scott HERE at his website. If you are interested in seeing other customs that are available (like my personal fav Buddha Fett) then please click HERE

Sai Kang Warriors by Daniel Yu

Daniel Yu has taken some Playmobil figures and turned them into works of art. This series of 5 figures entitled "Sai Kang Warriors." The term "Sai Kang" in Chinese refers to an unpleasant and undesirable task. This series showcases 5 blue collar workers whose jobs are not desirable. Daniel Yu gave a blank and vacant expression to each of these workers to reflect how society views such laborers as ones without an identity. Each of these figures has painstaking detail, especially the construction worker with his gloves and vest- they really are very well done. I am not sure if these figures are still available but send a note to Daniel Yu at his website HERE and ask.

David Kraig's Boba Fett Is Here To Collect His Bounty...

David Kraig has just finished an amazing new custom that, if you could not tell, is inspired by one of the all time great Bounty Hunters from Star Wars, Boba Fett!!! Using a 4" Munny as a base with some sculpey for the details, this Munny has everything it takes to be the ultimate Bounty Hunter. I love the small details on this figure, especially on the helmet with the small bullet dent. This custom is already spoken for but I am sure if you contact David Kraig through his website HERE, he will be more than happy to make one for you.

Ugly Unicorn Rainbow Madness By Rampage Toys...

Rampage Toys has just released a whole slew of Ugly Unicorns and other custom toys this past weekend in their online shop and all I can say is WOW! The Rainbow Hair Ugly Unicorn comes from an edition of 5 and the contrast between the brightly colored hair and monotonous body makes this piece so much fun to look at! I just have to say this is my favorite Ugly Unicorn of all time as it literally just POPS! Another Ugly Unicorn that was just released is from a collaboration with Paul Kaiju and comes from an edition of 5 as well. It kind of makes me think of what a zombie Ugly Unicorn might look like with the use of the gangrene green and the zombie eyes. I also saw this RxH Mutant custom was just put up as well and the color pattern used with the intricate detailing is just AMAZING. If you are interested in picking any of these up please head on over to the Rampage Toys Store HERE.

Blast From The Past... Toys That Are Still Popular...

Have you ever wondered how old some of the toys you play with today really are? Well writer Maureen Denard from Findananny.net was curious as well and went back all the way to the 1970's. (Can you believe that is almost 40 years ago?) She compiled a list of 10 popular toys that date back to that time period. Ranging from Hot Wheels to Barbies this list gives us an insight into how our toys from today really aren't that much different then the ones from the ye olden times of the 70's. I did not know the Slip N' Slide was from back then, I literally thought it was an invention of the 90's since I used it almost everyday during the summer. If you would like to find out the other 7 on the list then please click HERE.

"As Seen On TV" Task One Gets Real...

Task One has gone above and beyond with his new show that opens at Plastic Chapel, Saturday, June 9th. "As Seen On TV" will feature 8 Munny versions of characters from what he considers to be some of the best shows on TV recent and past. Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Wire, Breaking Bad and more are all represented in this awesome showcase of TV human expression and all put down on the Munny platform. These TV Characters look so realistic to me and look absolutely perfect in every way. I wish I could purchase them all. (Especially Larry David.) If you are interested in any of these pieces and are wanting to purchase one send Plastic Chapel an email to find out how these will be sold! Good Luck!

Carson Catlin is up to no good. He is taking sweet little innocent Dunny's and Munny's and carving them out. Now before you go OH NO, ake a look at the colorful masterpieces he has turned them into. Who's Ready For Some Black Magic?

Fuller is up to some of his New Orleans "Black Magic" tricks again. After the much success of his first series of "Black Magic" Dunny characters, Fuller decided to do a series 2. Featuring 5 different creatures from the deepest realms of "Black Magic" this set has the colorful vibrance and beautiful ambiance that is to be expected from a Fuller Dunny Set. My favorite from this set is the lizard with the studded dog collar. Who wouldn't want a pet lizard that looked like that? If you are interested in picking one of these up all the pre-orders have sold out but if you go to his store HERE and click the contact button on the right Fuller said he would be more then happy to make one of these little "Black Magic" Dunnys for you.
