Uncle Argh Kickstarter update: New Tolleson Argyle T-Shirt rewards added

Now you can sport your allegiance to the Argyle Association right on your shirt!

We are working with local screen printer Rebelution Ink to create these awesome Argyle graphic t-shirts (check their Tumblr and Facebook). Scott Tolleson provided us with a beautiful argyle graphic which will be printed in orange ink on black cotton t-shirts.

All sizes available, from Small up to XXL. (Men's and Women's sizes from Small to XL are $20, XXL shirts are $23). We have added MANY new pledge levels to accommodate those of you who are interested in these shirts: for as little as a $20 pledge, you can get one of these shirts in your choice of sizes.

We have also added additional higher pledge levels for those of you who might want to upgrade your current pledge by $20 to get a t-shirt in addition to what you've already pledged.

Kickstarter to fund a Tenacious Toys Exclusive Scott Tolleson Uncle Argh NOIR Mini Qee

Images for all 7 stickers in our Sticker Pack rewards have now been revealed!
Backers who have chosen rewards that include Sticker Packs will get a full pack of 7 stickers:

• (2) full-color stickers featuring artwork by Scott Tolleson
• (1) 5.5" wide black and white Argyle sticker (artwork by Scott)
• (1) 3.5" diameter circular Argh Noir face sticker (artwork by Scott)
• (1) 4" wide Tenacious Toys sticker
• (2) 4" wide Toy2R stickers

Only backers who've chosen rewards that specifically include the Sticker Pack item will get Scott's full-color stickers. (We have several rewards that include Sticker Packs, including the lowest level reward- just a $5 pledge gets you this sticker pack!)

We will most likely have plenty of black/white stickers left over after those rewards have been shipped, so the rest of the backers (even ones whose rewards don't specifically include stickers) will get stickers in the mail as well.

Scott Tolleson Nosellots by Screaming Sky Gallery

Nosellots (knows-a-lots) noun:  The brightest and cutest monsters in all the Cosmos.  With some love, their cerebral superiorities can be relegated to human beings.  Before long, they will control our behavior with the intent to reign supreme.

Meet Francis.
Francis is one of the smallest known Nosellots.  He works as a Microbiologist.  He is constantly forgetting his last name, even though it is printed on his lab coat.  A Nosellot anomaly, Francis used to be able to fly until his horns grew too heavy.  Now, when he is very excited, he can flutter high enough to reach the top shelf.  This makes him very happy.

Francis is the third released character in the Nosellots line developed by Scott Tolleson and Screaming Sky Gallery.  Measuring 8.5" tall, this creature is quality produced with heavy fleece materials, detailed stitching, and vibrant colors...all things that the collector and casual customer will appreciate.  Keep an eye out for our next character, coming soon!

The blue colorway seen at top is a Screaming Sky Exclusive which can be purchased here. The yellow colorway below is being made available to retailers (like us!) so hit us up if you want one.

Today we've added more high-level rewards ($175 and $500) to our Kickstarter campaign to fund our exclusive Scott Tolleson Uncle Argh NOIR Mini Qee. We're now about 66% funded, and with only a month left, we need YOUR support to make this project a reality.

Scott Tolleson discusses our Uncle Argh Noir Kickstarter on Toy Break

Every week, George and Ayleen invite a special guest onto the Toy Break couch to help them out with the show, give their honest opinion on the issues and toys discussed, and generally look pretty. This week, our friend Scott Tolleson played First Mate on the Toy Break couch for episode #207.

Like the conversational ninja he is, Scott managed to sneak in a plug for our Kickstarter project to fund an exclusive colorway of Scott's Uncle Argh Mini Qee. Thanks Scott!

Kickstarter to fund Tenacious Toys Exclusive Scott Tolleson Uncle Argh NOIR

We are incredibly excited to announce our first Kickstarter project, which is intended to fund our first full run of an exclusive toy: the Uncle Argh NOIR figure is the second colorway of Scott Tolleson's popular 5" Toy2R Mini Qee. Scott is super stoked about this colorway and we are incredibly fortunate and thankful to him for allowing us to take this colorway and run with it. 

The Kickstarter campaign ends on May 1st. Our goal is to raise just enough money to fund the entire 500-piece run of toys, plus the fees associated with Kickstarter campaigns, and the shipping. To that end, we have made this Kickstarter an easy one to fund: a $30 pledge gets you the Uncle Argh NOIR figure ($30 flat, including shipping, no matter where you live!). Lesser pledges get you a sticker pack or a Tolleson print. Higher pledges get you orginal Scott Tolleson sketches, paintings, or even a custom Mini Qee which Scott will make specifically for you using the Mini Qee platform of your choice!

Once May 1st hits, assuming we reach 100% funding, the money is charged to your credit card. Then it goes thru Kickstarter to us, and we send it along to Toy2R to get production started. After that, it takes about 2 months for the figures to be produced and shipped to the US. So we are looking at an arrival in July/August.

As I type this, we've already scored our first $100 pledge! I'm so excited I think I'm going to pass out.

Daniel Yu releasing his OMFG Crawdad Kid APs and customs Sunday

Daniel Yu was a part of the AWESOME October Toys Kickstarter-funded project called OMFG! (outlandish mini figure guys). The 2" figures in this series are an homage to our beloved M.U.S.C.L.E. men figures we all played with 20 years ago... all sculpts were developed by members of the designer toy community, and crowd-funded by artists, toy collectors and shop owners like myself!

11 Days Left to Fund the Little Lotus Documentary & Art Project on Kickstarter

Some of the best, most talented and most giving members of our art/toy community are trying to raise the funds needed to go to the Thailand/Burma border to work with the local children. They'll be doing collaborative art, making a documentary on about the experience, and auctioning off the pieces back here in the US, with proceeds going back to the children.

Some of the people involved are toy artists Angry Woebots, J*RYU & Ritzy P ,and filmmaker Daniel Zana (you might have heard of his doc "The Vinyl Frontier").

The SpinningTop 'Little Lotus Project' is a collaborative art project, linking twelve international artists with refugee and migrant children on the Thai/Burma border. Through a variety of art workshops the children experience the joys of creativity while also being part of a huge multi-media project which brings exposure to the children's cause. Access to education and art supplies is a luxury for these children and all funds raised from Little Lotus will go towards their ongoing welfare and education.

Josh fplus Pearce's Corruptor Kickstarter fully funded

I am happy to have contributed to Josh Pearce's Kickstarter project "The Corruptor"! Here's an update from Josh (aka f+):

In just 8 days, the Corrupter is over 100% Funded! Meaning it's gauranteed to be produced! This also means there are still 12 days to get preorder pledges in for this edition of the figure! Also, I've added a few more reward tiers to give folks more options on what they want to receive.   You may notice the Corrupter is now in color as well! This is just a test paint on the rough master sculpt, but it should be pretty close to what you can expect the finished Corrupter to look like!
